Mobile Phone use in class as a teaching and learning tool is rapidly becoming a popular choice for teachers and students. In the Mathematics class, a student can record the solution to a question via mobile phone, take it home and use a a refresher when completing exercises. Take a look at this example on graphing inequalities.

This question was recorded on a Nokia phone and the quality is very good. The best thing about using this form of technology is that students can send these questions to each other via bluetooth. The teacher can also save these short videos to thier laptops and send to the class via bluetooth to any phone, notebook or PDA.

Anyway, we can chat about the advantages and disadvantages of this technique in the blog.

Please, feel free to download the free step by step tutorials on how to podcast or vodcast a lesson the cheap way. Also available are video tutorials that I have created for you to purchase.

Remember: A great teacher knows their students and tries to give all students an education which is relevant, accessible and empowering.

In the meantime, enjoy the free podcast and vodcast guides and I urge you to check out the great resources available to you in this website. Please email me with suggestions and or feedback in regards to this site.

Digital Communications! What is it?

It is effective communication using digital media such as the web, multimedia, video, or graphics. Communication with technology is rapidly becoming one of the most used forms of teaching and learning by educators around the world.

Most Teachers already create digital communications. They may write e-mails, use sms and text on their mobile phone. They can create PowerPoint presentations or even a nice Photostory. Teachers are also creating blogs and very flashy websites for their students. Podcasting and Vodcasting are also becoming popular.
